The Pendragon’s Sword On the day of the dead, when the year too dies, Must the youngest open the oldest hills Through the door of the birds, where the breeze breaks. There fire shall fly from the raven boy, And the silver eyes that see the wind, And the Light shall have the harp of gold. By the pleasant lake the Sleepers lie, On Cadfan’s Way where the kestrels call; Through grim from the Grey King shadows fall, Yet singing the golden harp shall guide To break their sleep and bid them ride When light from the lost land shall return, Six Sleepers shall ride, six Signs shall burn, And where the midsummer tree grows tall By Pendragon’s sword the Dark shall fall. When the Dark comes rising, six shall turn it back; Three from the circle, three from the track; Wood, bronze, iron; water, fire, stone; Five will return, and one go alone. Iron for the birthday, bronze carried long; Wood from the burning, stone out of song; Fire in the candle-ring, water from the thaw; Six Signs the circle, and the grail gone before. Fire on the mountain shall find the harp of gold, Played to wake the Sleepers, oldest of the old; Power from the green witch lost beneath the sea; All shall find the light at last, silver on the tree. On Cadfan’s Way where the kestrels call; Through grim from the Grey King shadows fall, Yet singing the golden harp shall guide To break their sleep and bid them ride When light from the lost land shall return, Six Sleepers shall ride, six Signs shall burn, And where the midsummer tree grows tall By Pendragon’s sword the Dark shall fall.

The Last Unicorn A silvery eye glows over the world, And on the shadowy hills of night, A silver mane tosses, a golden hoof stamps, And a single horn shines with its own light. Unicorn on the wing; What a beautiful, beautiful thing! You dance and you sing; Unicorn on the wing. Her beauty tells tales of a world long ago; Her silvery tail, her sad, starry eyes; Her passion, her magic, her past and her future, And her silver wings that rule the skies. Unicorn on the wing; What a beautiful, beautiful thing! You dance and you sing; Unicorn on the wing. Now her journey is cold and dark and alone, Through the ice rings of Saturn, past Jupiter’s moons; For though she is magic, and all of our dreams, She will not know many more nights and noons. Unicorn on the wing; What a beautiful, beautiful thing! You dance and you sing; Unicorn on the wing. For she is our dreams, and our dreams are falling; The Unicorn’s life is in our hands. Oh, can’t we go back to the Old Way of life, And stop trying to ruin each others’ lands? Unicorn on the wing; What a beautiful, beautiful thing! You dance and you sing; Unicorn on the wing. Unicorn on the wing; What a beautiful, beautiful thing! You dance and you sing; Unicorn on the wing. You dance and you sing; Unicorn on the wing. You dance and you sing; Unicorn on the wing. You dance and you sing; Unicorn on the wing. You dance and you sing; Unicorn on the wing, Unicorn on the wing.

Battle Ballad Hear the marching army? They approach upon the morning. Hear the marching army as they ride out with the sun? Hear the marching army as they ride up on the hillside? Hear the marching army sing of battles to be won? All they are are young boys whose eyes are full of glory All they are are young boys who don’t know their own names All they are are young boys who want to be the heroes All they are are young boys who dream of honoured fame But war, it is no game And there’s no one to blame Young men’s hearts set aflame In mankind’s darkest game Now the boy’s a soldier who’s faced with real bullets Now the boy’s a soldier who wants his sweetheart’s kiss Now the boy’s a soldier, the hell with fame and glory! Now the boy’s a soldier, why has it come to this? Gunshots echo as he asks himself a couple questions Gunshots echo as he asks, “Oh God, what have we done?” Gunshots echo as he asks, “God, is a war the answer?” Gunshots echo as the boy lays down his father’s gun The war, it is no game And there’s no one to blame Glory and pride turned to shame In mankind’s darkest game Hear the marching army? They approach upon the evening. Hear the marching army as they ride in with the sun? Hear the marching army just crying with their sweethearts Hear the marching army say a war cannot be won And war, it is no game And there’s no one to blame Please hear the soldier’s claim: War is mankind’s darkest game

Sing a Dragon’s Song Long ago We had hopes and dreams Long ago Things were what they seemed The tears we cry Reflect our endless pain Long ago Was sun instead of rain Those times are long past Sweet dreams are gone Those times are long past Sing a dragon’s song Sing a dragon’s song You and I Are of two different worlds Yet our lives Are filled with dark perils Share with me The danger that I live In a time When love’s all we can give Those times are long past Sweet dreams are gone Those times are long past Sing a dragon’s song Sing a dragon’s song We’re so young And yet we are so old We have seen Horrors yet untold We both know That death will guide our way Yet we hope That there’ll be light someday Those times are long past Sweet dreams are gone Those times are long past Sing a dragon’s song Sing a dragon’s song Sing a dragon’s song Sing a dragon’s song

Dragonflight 05:50
Dragonflight Fading sun Shining on the world What has been done Can come unfurled Can you spare just a little time? Can you take my hand? Your love is mine Dragonflight Leave the world behind Dragonflight In each other we find love of a kind Were we ever children? Did we run and play? Did we once know innocence? Did we dream in the day? We can reach back and find that child We can reach ahead; be free and wild Dragonflight Leave the world behind Dragonflight In each other we find love of a kind Our worlds will come together (Our worlds will come together) Will join as one (Will join as one) Can’t we do the same? Remove the cloud from the sun, from the sun If I had just one wish I know what I would say I wish that hand-in-hand We could just fly away Will you love me if I break my vow? Will you love me if I’m lost somehow? Dragonflight Leave the world behind Dragonflight In each other we find love of a kind Dragonflight Leave the world behind Dragonflight In each other we find love of a kind Love of a kind Love of a kind Love of a kind . . .

From the Catacombs of My Darkest Mind The Night draws herself up around me, My cloak of darkness. She is my master. I am her lover. And together we waltz, Locked in a danse macabre; The Night and her creature In a lover’s embrace. And when the Night caresses me, She arouses in me desire, And with desire comes my thirst, And I know what I need. White skin and pseudoflesh Yearning for a forbidden liquid As red as the reddest rose, And sweeter than the finest wine. And as I lick my too-long canines The human in me ceases to exist, And I become an animal. I know only the laws of the jungle: Seek, find, stalk, kill! I am a fox among the chickens, My movements vulpine and my grin ghastly, Eyes questing for my prey. There! A thief in an alley, A brother of sorts. He knows the shadows of Night as I know them. Poor, helpless mortal; A short, sad life of pain and misery. I will relieve him of his suffering: And believe me, the kill brings pleasure To the victim and hunter alike. He will die happy. So as the clock strikes twelve I move in for the kill, A predator as only a beast can be. There is my victim, eyes bulging in terror, Hands flailing helplessly. My fangs come forward, My lips pull back, Saliva floods my mouth. And all my senses perceive him: My eyes mark his reactions As if I were watching an insect. I hear the brass sound of his screams Echo in my ears. Beneath my hands I feel His desperate struggles and the pulse of his heart. And the smell of his blood is in my nostrils – The scent of it is so overwhelming, So tangible I can taste it already – And I want him. I draw back his head, And his pink throat . . . So tantalizing, so desirable, conjuring my evil thirst. And I drive my fangs in, Then move my lips over the flow And I start to suck at the wound. Rapture! Ecstasy! Heaven! I am in Eden! I walk among the angels! Our heartbeats thunder in my ears. His blood flows from his veins and into mine, Warming me, Nourishing me, Slaking my thirst. In my triumph of glory I moan aloud, And he weakens . . . Weakens . . . Dies. I pull away slowly, Reeling in rapture, And the world is surreal, dreamlike, abstract. My loins throb in the wake of my passion. In an endless moment of self-indulgence I lick my sharp teeth and Blood-red lips, And I smile. Then suddenly, the beast within me Returns to the shadows from Whence it came; From the catacombs of my darkest mind. And the human emerges, The human with his moral codes And his concept of “society”. He sees the victim lying in death. He sees the marks his fangs have made. He tastes red iron in his mouth. And he screams. And all the while the beast notices A drop of blood trickling from the marks, And it hungers for it. My God, what have I done? What have I done? And I, too, return to the shadows, Creeping like the guilty thing I am, Just a face in the crowd But forever sequestered from it.

Savage Garden Silently the darkness falls The demon thirst within me calls – Out I creep to stalk to night alone Shadows wake; the evening’s tide Sings its rhythm at the waterside Time passes – once again I’m on my own I am the watcher looking in; Bringer of death, bearer of sin Dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight Intoxicating blood, my victim’s life Come with me into the darkness; I’ll show you how Primeval urge runs through my twisted soul The blood desire devours me whole Come into my arms, my love; it’s Mephistopheles’ night out I am the watcher looking in; Bringer of death, bearer of sin I am the devil in the flesh And I fear my evilness There are a million ways to die; there are a thousand ways to bleed And I have seen them all; I bear the demon seed Please don’t come too close, my love, Or I’ll kill you where you stand Ma chere, my fangs are on your throat, and my love is in my heart Your death fulfills my need, and it tears my soul apart I pray to gods I don’t believe in, someone stay my hand . . . I am the watcher looking in Bringer of death, bearer of sin I am a demon in disguise And I wear an angel’s eyes Deep within the Savage Garden, what’s morality? There is no God to judge and the only Devil is me! Reaching out to find the truth, and finding nothing there Solitude and loneliness; a quest to fight dispair There is a greater truth in beauty and in life And how it all can end when the Reaper swings his scythe Deep within the Savage Garden, what do you dream of? For even the Devil can love I am the watcher looking in Bringer of death, bearer of sin I am a hunter and a beast And from this curse I seek release . . . And now the night is cold, And my dark tale is told This confession note I write By a pale candle’s light With these sorrowed, sinful eyes I will face the morning sky Unless you join my in my quest I cannot bear the loneliness I an the watcher looking in Bringer of death, bearer of sin Ma chere, my love, I’ll say goodbye Before I chase my last sunrise . . .

Sian Bhuadha 02:47
Sian Bhuadha You go home this night To your home of winter, To your home of autumn, Of spring and of summer, You go home this night to your lasting home, To your eternal bed, to your sound sleeping. Sleep now, sleep, and so fade sorrow, Sleep now, sleep, and so fade sorrow, Sleep now, sleep, and so fade sorrow, Sleep, my beloved, in the rock of the fold. The sleep of seven lights upon you, my dear. The sleep of seven joys upon you, my dear. The sleep of seven slumbers upon you, my dear. Sleep, oh sleep, in the quiet of quietness, Sleep, oh sleep, in the way of guidance, Sleep, oh sleep, in the love of all loving, Sleep, my beloved, in the rock of the fold.

Made in Heaven You look so familiar; where’ve I seen your face before? Someone stole our love away; all is fair in love and war You’re the one I dream about – we’ve met in another life Why can’t we be together? Oh, love is a double-edged knife Love is a double-edged knife Long ago and far away We met: we fell in love that day I’ll wait ten years, I’ll wait eleven, It’s a match that was made in heaven A match that was made in heaven Now I see your expression; now I see you realize You know my face from somewhere, I can see it in your eyes, and you say, “You’re the woman I dream about – we’ve met in another life “I want to hold you forever, “But love is a double-edged knife” Love is a double-edged knife Long ago and far away We met: we fell in love that day I’ll wait ten years, I’ll wait eleven, It’s a match that was made in heaven A match that was made in heaven We’re just two young fools in love, and we’ve met somewhere before Love can break all bondage – it could shatter the ocean floor We’re the ones we’ve dreamed about – we’ve met in another life And we’ll always be together If love is a double-edged knife Oh, love is a double-edged knife Long ago and far away We met: we fell in love that day I’ll wait ten years, I’ll wait eleven, It’s a match that was made in heaven A match that was made in heaven

The Unicorn’s Reprise Compelled by force beyond understanding, I sail this sea of stars. Compelled by force beyond understanding, I sail this sea of stars. A Universe has passed through these eyes – Planets, quasars, and nebulae – And yet I bear proud battle scars, And yet I bear proud battle scars. Driven by instinct forever commanding, I roam this jewel-studded sky. Driven by instinct forever commanding, I roam this jewel-studded sky; From routine and recurrence I flee, Inspired by the comet I see – Inspired by the comet I see, As driven by instinct to wander as I.

Catch a Falling Star Dreams are clouds of mist, A Unicorn I ride, But a wisp of cloudy Darkness Creeps from the other side Open the doors of time, Remember memories Of family and friends, But the eye of Darkness sees Catch a falling star tonight, The Darkness screams outside – Just keep your dreams a’dancing; Your soul she’ll never find I believe in unicorns, Interplanetary flight; But one thing I don’t believe in – Letting go your life – Catch a falling star A shadow passes over My star in the sky; An evil falcon watches With a knowing eye The tunnel is a long one, But Light is at the end, I know because my friend’s been there, There and back again Catch a falling star tonight, The Darkness screams outside – Just keep your dreams a’dancing; Your soul she’ll never find I believe in unicorns, Interplanetary flight; But one thing I don’t believe in – Letting go your life – Catch a falling star Dreams are clouds of mist, A Unicorn I ride, The river’s very wide, But the Sun’s on the other side Catch a falling star tonight, The Darkness screams outside – Just keep your dreams a’dancing; Your soul she’ll never find I believe in unicorns, Interplanetary flight; But one thing I don’t believe in – Letting go your life – Catch a falling star I believe in unicorns, Interplanetary flight; But one thing I don’t believe in – Letting go your life – Catch a falling star Catch a falling star Catch a falling star Catch a falling star . . .
