On the day of the dead, when the year too dies, Must the youngest open the oldest hills Through the door of the birds, where the breeze breaks. There fire shall fly from the raven boy, And the silver eyes that see the wind, And the Light shall have the harp of gold. By the pleasant lake the Sleepers lie, On Cadfan’s Way where the kestrels call; Through grim from the Grey King shadows fall, Yet singing the golden harp shall guide To break their sleep and bid them ride When light from the lost land shall return, Six Sleepers shall ride, six Signs shall burn, And where the midsummer tree grows tall By Pendragon’s sword the Dark shall fall. When the Dark comes rising, six shall turn it back; Three from the circle, three from the track; Wood, bronze, iron; water, fire, stone; Five will return, and one go alone. Iron for the birthday, bronze carried long; Wood from the burning, stone out of song; Fire in the candle-ring, water from the thaw; Six Signs the circle, and the grail gone before. Fire on the mountain shall find the harp of gold, Played to wake the Sleepers, oldest of the old; Power from the green witch lost beneath the sea; All shall find the light at last, silver on the tree. On Cadfan’s Way where the kestrels call; Through grim from the Grey King shadows fall, Yet singing the golden harp shall guide To break their sleep and bid them ride When light from the lost land shall return, Six Sleepers shall ride, six Signs shall burn, And where the midsummer tree grows tall By Pendragon’s sword the Dark shall fall.

Laggin' out in Ironforge Waitin' for the tram Feelin' nearly wore out as all sin Bobby waved a griffin down Just before the raid Took us all the way into Stormwind I pulled my sword out of a dirty, slimey murlock And was killin' foes while Bobby healed us some With my twin merc blades slappin' time and Bobby castin' spells, we finally Blasted every foe to Kingdom Come Farmin's just another word for no quests left to do Farmin' ain't worth nothin' for XP Doin' quests was easy, Light, with Bobby's healin' spells Doin' quest was good enough for me Good enough for me and Bobby the Priest From the small mines of the Elwyn To the barren Blasted Lands Bobby shared the safety of my sword Standin' right beside me, Light We would make our stand In Warsong Gulch we even fought the Horde Then somewhere near Stromgard, Light, I let her slip away Searchin' for the guild I hope she'll find But I'd give all my blue items for a single yesterday With Bobby's party icon next to mine Farmin's just another word for no quests left to do Farmin' ain't worth nothin' for XP Doin' quests was easy, Light, with Bobby's healin' spells Doin' quest was good enough for me Good enough for me and Bobby the Priest Doin' quests was easy, Light, with Bobby's healin' spells Doin' quest was good enough for me Good enough for me and Bobby the Priest

Long ago We had hopes and dreams Long ago Things were what they seemed The tears we cry Reflect our endless pain Long ago Was sun instead of rain Those times are long past Sweet dreams are gone Those times are long past Sing a dragon’s song Sing a dragon’s song You and I Are of two different worlds Yet our lives Are filled with dark perils Share with me The danger that I live In a time When love’s all we can give Those times are long past Sweet dreams are gone Those times are long past Sing a dragon’s song Sing a dragon’s song We’re so young And yet we are so old We have seen Horrors yet untold We both know That death will guide our way Yet we hope That there’ll be light someday Those times are long past Sweet dreams are gone Those times are long past Sing a dragon’s song Sing a dragon’s song Sing a dragon’s song Sing a dragon’s song

You look so familiar; where’ve I seen your face before? Someone stole our love away; all is fair in love and war You’re the one I dream about – we’ve met in another life Why can’t we be together? Oh, love is a double-edged knife Love is a double-edged knife Long ago and far away We met: we fell in love that day I’ll wait ten years, I’ll wait eleven, It’s a match that was made in heaven A match that was made in heaven Now I see your expression; now I see you realize You know my face from somewhere, I can see it in your eyes, and you say, “You’re the woman I dream about – we’ve met in another life “I want to hold you forever, “But love is a double-edged knife” Love is a double-edged knife Long ago and far away We met: we fell in love that day I’ll wait ten years, I’ll wait eleven, It’s a match that was made in heaven A match that was made in heaven We’re just two young fools in love, and we’ve met somewhere before Love can break all bondage – it could shatter the ocean floor We’re the ones we’ve dreamed about – we’ve met in another life And we’ll always be together If love is a double-edged knife Oh, love is a double-edged knife Long ago and far away We met: we fell in love that day I’ll wait ten years, I’ll wait eleven, It’s a match that was made in heaven A match that was made in heaven

Lady Isabel sat at her window a-sewing (Aye, as the gowans grow gay) When she heard an elf-knight on his bright horn a'blowing (On the first morning in May) Oh, I wish I'd that horn that I hear blow so clearly And yonder elf-knight for to love me so dearly This maiden had scarcely the fatal words spoken When in at her window the elf-knight has broken "It is a strange matter, fair maiden," said he "I canna blaw horn but you call out to me" "But will you come down unto yon greenwoodside Come tack a fair horse and together we'll ride" So he leaped on a horse, and she on another And they have gone down to the greenwood together "Light down ye, light down ye, fair maiden," said he "We are come to the place where ye are to die." "Hae mercy, hae mercy, Sir Elf-Knight on me 'Til aince more my father and mother I see" "Well, seven King's daughters here have I slain And ye'll be the eighth will forever remain" "Come sit down awhile, rest your head on my knee That we may take rest here before that I die" And she stroked his dark head and she whispered sae sweet That the elf-knight was soon lulled fast, fast asleep And she'd taen his own sword-belt & bound him around And with his own dirk struck the fiend his death wound "Well, if seven King's daughters were slain here by thee Then lie here and keep them all good company!"

Brighid, bringer of the light Banish now the dark of night Hold ye forth a candle's flame That tells us spring has come again Vesta, guard our hearth & home Through the winter kept us warm Keeper of the sacred flame Through you, now warmth will come again Idun, maiden of the spring Your touch makes all of nature sing Each youth and babe and bud and flower Know well they renewal's power Hathor, goddess of the cow Bring forth the calves and bless the plow The beasts of field and farm grow rife When nourished from your milk of life Demeter, she who brings the rain Who ripens fruit and nurtures grain Return to us from winter's dark And bud and bloom and bless life's spark Ushas, herald of the dawn Release the gates of darkness-bawn Bring the chariot of the sun That grants life's light to everyone Brighid, bringer of the light Banish now the dark of night Hold ye forth a candle's flame That tells us spring has come again

Silently the darkness falls The demon thirst within me calls – Out I creep to stalk to night alone Shadows wake; the evening’s tide Sings its rhythm at the waterside Time passes – once again I’m on my own I am the watcher looking in; Bringer of death, bearer of sin Dancing with the devil in the pale moonlight Intoxicating blood, my victim’s life Come with me into the darkness; I’ll show you how Primeval urge runs through my twisted soul The blood desire devours me whole Come into my arms, my love; it’s Mephistopheles’ night out I am the watcher looking in; Bringer of death, bearer of sin I am the devil in the flesh And I fear my evilness There are a million ways to die; there are a thousand ways to bleed And I have seen them all; I bear the demon seed Please don’t come too close, my love, Or I’ll kill you where you stand Ma chere, my fangs are on your throat, and my love is in my heart Your death fulfills my need, and it tears my soul apart I pray to gods I don’t believe in, someone stay my hand . . . I am the watcher looking in Bringer of death, bearer of sin I am a demon in disguise And I wear an angel’s eyes Deep within the Savage Garden, what’s morality? There is no God to judge and the only Devil is me! Reaching out to find the truth, and finding nothing there Solitude and loneliness; a quest to fight dispair There is a greater truth in beauty and in life And how it all can end when the Reaper swings his scythe Deep within the Savage Garden, what do you dream of? For even the Devil can love I am the watcher looking in Bringer of death, bearer of sin I am a hunter and a beast And from this curse I seek release . . . And now the night is cold, And my dark tale is told This confession note I write By a pale candle’s light With these sorrowed, sinful eyes I will face the morning sky Unless you join my in my quest I cannot bear the loneliness I an the watcher looking in Bringer of death, bearer of sin Ma chere, my love, I’ll say goodbye Before I chase my last sunrise . . .

Well, how do you do, young Willy McBride? Do you mind if I sit here down beside your graveside? And rest for a while 'neath the warm summer sun I've been walking all day, and I'm nearly done I see by your gravestone you were only nineteen When you joined the great fallen in 1916 I hope you died well And I hope you died clean Or Willy McBride, was is it slow and obscene? Did they beat the drums slowly? Did they play the fife lowly? Did they sound the death march as they lowered you down? Did the band play "The Last Post" and chorus? Did the pipes play "The Flowers of the Forest?" Did you leave a young wife or a sweetheart behind? In some faithful heart is your memory enshrined? Alhough you died back in 1916 In some faithful heart, are you forever nineteen? Or are you a stranger without even a name Enshrined now, forever behind a glass pane In an old photograph torn, tattered, and stained And faded to yellow in a brown leather frame? Did they beat the drums slowly? Did they play the fife lowly? Did they sound the death march as they lowered you down? Did the band play "The Last Post" and chorus? Did the pipes play "The Flowers of the Forest?" Well, the sun, it shines down on the green fields of France There's a warm summer's breeze and the red poppies dance The trenches are gone, tilled under the plow There's no gas, no barbed wire, there's no guns firing now But here in this graveyard it's still no man's land Where the countless white crosses in mute witness stand To man's blind indifference to his fellow man And a whole generation that was butchered and damned! Did they beat the drums slowly? Did they play the fife lowly? Did they sound the death march as they lowered you down? Did the band play "The Last Post" and chorus? Did the pipes play "The Flowers of the Forest?" I can't help but wonder now, Willy McBride If all those who lie here know why they have died? Did you really believe when you answered the call? Did you really believe that this war would end wars? The sorrow, the suffering, the glory, the pain; The killing, the dying; they were all done in vain; For Willy McBride it all happened again! And again, and again, and again, and again! Did they beat the drums slowly? Did they play the fife lowly? Did they sound the death march as they lowered you down? Did the band play "The Last Post" and chorus? Did the pipes play "The Flowers of the Forest?"

Mothers, watch and keep the day While the lambs leap and play List' the wind, the gentle breeze Spring is here, a time of ease Emerald green of elder year Backdrop for the newborn spear Brightly sing the birds on high Wake the world as spring draws nigh Sun grows strong and lights the earth Brings the dawning of rebirth Sing the song, dance the step Well the seed the earth has kept Emerald green of elder year Backdrop for the newborn spear Brightly sing the birds on high Wake the world as spring draws nigh Bring your love, and bring your wife Celebrate the way of life Sun and moon and star and sky Laugh and sing as night draws nigh Emerald green of elder year Backdrop for the newborn spear Brightly sing the birds on high Wake the world as spring draws nigh

Fading sun Shining on the world What has been done Can come unfurled Can you spare just a little time? Can you take my hand? Your love is mine Dragonflight Leave the world behind Dragonflight In each other we find love of a kind Were we ever children? Did we run and play? Did we once know innocence? Did we dream in the day? We can reach back and find that child We can reach ahead; be free and wild Dragonflight Leave the world behind Dragonflight In each other we find love of a kind Our worlds will come together (Our worlds will come together) Will join as one (Will join as one) Can’t we do the same? Remove the cloud from the sun, from the sun If I had just one wish I know what I would say I wish that hand-in-hand We could just fly away Will you love me if I break my vow? Will you love me if I’m lost somehow? Dragonflight Leave the world behind Dragonflight In each other we find love of a kind Dragonflight Leave the world behind Dragonflight In each other we find love of a kind Love of a kind Love of a kind Love of a kind . . .

All around my hat I will tie purple cabbages And on those purple cabbages I'll put wigs of kitten hair And if anyone should ask me The reason why I'm doing that I'll say, "It's none of your damn business What the hell I wear!" All around my plate I will pile lots of lobster tails And on those lobster tails I'll pile stacks of deli meat And if anyone should ask me The reason why I'm doing that I'll say, "Its none of your damn business What the hell I eat! All around my life I will gather a family Of lovers and my lovers' lovers Till we have enough And if anyone should ask me The reason why I'm doing that I'll say, "It's none of your damn business Who the hell I love!" All around the world There is lots of diversity And all around this festival Diversity as well And if anyone should ask me The reason why I'm singing this I'll say, "Embrace diversity Or go to bloody hell!"

So this is how it feels when the world ends Something dies and is born again You think you know yourself, but do you? Should I stay silent, or be condemned? This is how it feels when the world ends Can you fathom the darkness inside of you? Take a look at your face It will be replaced This is the other side of the mirror Shades of grey, nothing's carved in stone Suffer in silence or be alone Why can't I have my cake and eat it too? Always different, always on the outside And now I know the reason why What would they all say if they only knew? Take a look at your face It will be replaced This is the other side of the mirror Will they abandon me? Will they take me in? Society will punish me for my sin But how can it be sin if I don't hurt anyone? The fear imprisons me; I live in a cage I've got to be brave, but I can't give in to rage I watch the fabric of my world as it comes undone Shadows of silence haunting me through the night And yet, within my shell, my soul takes flight And believe me, World, I really had no choice The secret deep within asphyxiates me I've got to let it out, I've got to be free And someone, somewhere, has got to hear my voice! Take a look at your face It will be replaced This is the other side of the mirror Mother, father, I cannot be Whatever it is that you want me to be I wish that you could understand, I wish that you could say "It's all right, sweetheart, we love you anyway" But I know I can't expect what will never be And all that I can hope is that you'll still care for me So if this is farewell, I guess I'll say goodbye And face the world with hope, and my battle cry Someone's got to take the chance, and say it loud, "I'm young, gay, and proud!" CHORUS So this is how it feels when the world ends Something dies and is born again You think you know yourself, but do you? Well, I'm not silent, and I've been condemned But maybe someday all this pain will end Courage, patience, and faith will see us through Take a look at your face It will be replaced This is the other side of the mirror Take a look at your face It will be replaced This is the other side of the mirror

Lullaby, and good night Lullaby, and good night Lullaby, and good night Lullaby, and good night I remember how you sang Lullabies in the night I remember how you read to me By the hall's soothing light I was a child and I knew I was safe in your arms You would save me from the darkness You would keep me from harm If I only knew There's only so much a mother can do I remember how we fought And the cruel things we said I remember how I left home Needing freedom or death I was a child and I knew I wasn't safe in your arms I felt that you had somehow betrayed me You couldn't keep me from harm If I only knew There's only so much a mother can do 2 a.m. the phone rings And it's your voice on the line You tell me there was an accident And you were lucky this time It's then I realized how much I love you And how important you are You haven't failed me, you gave me your strength You are my guiding star But if you only knew There's only so much a daughter can do Lullaby, and good night Lullaby, and good night Lullaby, and good night Lullaby, and good night

At Tara in this fateful hour I place all Heaven with its power; The sun with its brightness, The snow with its whiteness, The fire with all the strength it hath, The lightning with its rapid wrath, The winds with their swiftness along their path, The rocks with their steepness, The sea with its deepness, The earth with its starkness; All of these I place, By God's almighty grace, Between myself and the powers of darkness.

A fierce one-eyed man named Baron LaBonne A meaner pirate had never been known And he sailed on the Dark Lady A ship strong and sound with a perilous crew And high on the mast the skull and bones flew Fleet and swift was the Dark Lady And every night the Baron would drink a toast He'd say, "Here's to our lovely lady host! My one true love..." "Hear, hear!" the crew replied And the Dark Lady sighed. A rich Spanish galleon was spotted one night The Dark Lady's crew prepared for the fight Clash of swords...No Spaniard survived it Except for the maiden with dark eyes so bold Found in the hull with the jewels and the gold LaBonne laughed and took her for ransom And every night the Baron would drink a toast He'd say, "Here's to my lovely lady host! My one true love..." "Hear, hear!" the crew replied And the Dark Lady sighed. The girl Carlotta was a beauty quite rare With each passing night LaBonne couldn't bear His empty bed. He brought her to it. The Baron soon found he felt more than desire His love for her grew and his soul filled with fire He proclaimed that they would marry. That night the Baron drank with jubilee And said, "Here's to my lovely bride to be! My one true love..." "Hear, hear!" the crew replied And the Dark Lady cried. The following night a storm brewed at sea The Dark Lady saw her chance to be free Of her rival, the beauty Carlotta The ship steered herself to the heart of the gale Where a wave swept the maiden out over the rail Sweet revenge on an unfaithful lover. That night the Lady drank a toast And said, "Here's to your lovely lady host! Your one true love..." No voices replied And the Dark Lady smiled. And now any night when a storm fills the sky They say that a ghost ship sails in it's eye Fleet and swift is the Dark Lady A ship strong and sound with a perilous crew And high on the mast the skull and bones flew While the captain gazes out to sea. And every night the Baron must drink a toast He says, "Here's to our lovely lady host! My one true love..." "Hear, hear," the ghost crew replies And the Dark Lady smiles.

As we were sailing along the star sea, We hadn't been gone months, not two nor three, When we saw ten sail, ten sail of orc All men-o'-war full as big as we. "Haul down your colours, you Elvish dogs! Haul down your colours, do not refuse. Haul down your colours, you Elvish dogs Or your precious lives you will lose!" Our captain being a valiant elf, And a well bespoken an elf was he: "Let it never be said we died like dogs, For we shall fight most valiantly!" "Go up aloft, you cabin boys, And mount the mainmast, a topsail high, For to spread the news to King Zaor's fleet That we'll run the risk or else we'll die!" Well, the fight began about six in the morn, And unto the orbit of the sun. And at the rise of the next dawn, Where we saw ten ships we couldn't see but one. For three we sank and three we burned, And three we caused to run away, And one we towed to Dragon Harbour, For to let them know we'd won the day. If anyone then should inquire As to our gallant captain's name, Well, Captain Yvoleth was our commander And the Queen's Dirk was our ship by name.

Dreams are clouds of mist, A Unicorn I ride, But a wisp of cloudy Darkness Creeps from the other side Open the doors of time, Remember memories Of family and friends, But the eye of Darkness sees Catch a falling star tonight, The Darkness screams outside – Just keep your dreams a’dancing; Your soul she’ll never find I believe in unicorns, Interplanetary flight; But one thing I don’t believe in – Letting go your life – Catch a falling star A shadow passes over My star in the sky; An evil falcon watches With a knowing eye The tunnel is a long one, But Light is at the end, I know because my friend’s been there, There and back again Catch a falling star tonight, The Darkness screams outside – Just keep your dreams a’dancing; Your soul she’ll never find I believe in unicorns, Interplanetary flight; But one thing I don’t believe in – Letting go your life – Catch a falling star Dreams are clouds of mist, A Unicorn I ride, The river’s very wide, But the Sun’s on the other side Catch a falling star tonight, The Darkness screams outside – Just keep your dreams a’dancing; Your soul she’ll never find I believe in unicorns, Interplanetary flight; But one thing I don’t believe in – Letting go your life – Catch a falling star I believe in unicorns, Interplanetary flight; But one thing I don’t believe in – Letting go your life – Catch a falling star Catch a falling star Catch a falling star Catch a falling star . . .

about

*Bandcamp Exclusive!* I travel all over Western Canada during the summer event season, and this year, music was my focus. All of these 20 tracks were recorded between the Spring and the Fall Equinox in 2013. They are not professional recordings. There's a lot of ambient background noise of the various festivals I attended and all my mistakes are included. So why do you want to buy this album?

1. There's 20 tracks, all at the price of a normal-length album.
2. They capture the spirit and magic of the events I attended. If you were there, or wish you were, it's a good way to carry that spirit with you.
3. Often things have more passion live than they do when recorded more professionally.
4. You will get unique tracks from my various live performances that are not available anywhere else, and never will be.
5. You will get unique, live versions of some of these tracks that highlight the talents of friends and guest performers. You won't find them on another album either.

Sometimes, I had to choose between two, three, or even four different live versions of the same song. I selected them based on the number of mistakes I made and how noticeable they were; how distracting the background noise was; whether I felt it best highlighted the song overall. whether you could hear the vocals; and whether it was more or less enjoyable than one or another version to listen to; and how interesting the performance was.

Sometimes, you can't hear the vocals very well, or there is a quite noticeable mistake. That's because there simply was no other version of that particular track, and I wanted to offer as much variety as possible.

This album, for obvious reasons, is exclusive to Bandcamp and only available in digital format. I hope you enjoy this intimate glimpse into my life over the summer of 2013.

Blessed be,
Sable
